CERN Industry showcase

This afternoon event will showcase some highlights of technologies developed at CERN and available for transfer to UK Industry. A three-year programme, funded by the Office of Science and Technology and supported by PPARC and CERN, has established the availability of a Technology Transfer Coordinator. His role is to assess technologies developed at CERN and make them available to UK companies.

The event will:

• Showcase specific technologies in materials, IT, electronics, detectors, cryogenics, superconductivity, vacuum and healthcare
• Encourage networking between UK industry and CERN staff, including a contracts enquiry desk
• Explain PPARC and CERN support for business partnerships and spinout companies

A reception will be held at the conclusion of the meeting.

This event is supported by PPARC, CERN, the Office of Science and Technology and UK Trade and Investment.
